    A direct comparison of high-speed methods for the numerical Abel transform

    The Abel transform is a mathematical operation that transforms a cylindrically symmetric three-dimensional (3D) object into its two-dimensional (2D) projection. The inverse Abel transform reconstructs the 3D object from the 2D projection. Abel transforms have wide application across numerous fields of science, especially chemical physics, astronomy, and the study of laser-plasma plumes. Consequently, many numerical methods for the Abel transform have been developed, which makes it challenging to select the ideal method for a specific application. In this work eight transform methods have been incorporated into a single, open-source Python software package (PyAbel) to provide a direct comparison of the capabilities, advantages, and relative computational efficiency of each transform method. Most of the tested methods provide similar, high-quality results. However, the computational efficiency varies across several orders of magnitude. By optimizing the algorithms, we find that some transform methods are sufficiently fast to transform 1-megapixel images at more than 100 frames per second on a desktop personal computer.     Non-Markovian dynamics of a qubit coupled to an Ising spin bath

    We study the analytically solvable Ising model of a single qubit system coupled to a spin bath. The purpose of this study is to analyze and elucidate the performance of Markovian and non-Markovian master equations describing the dynamics of the system qubit, in comparison to the exact solution. We find that the time-convolutionless master equation performs particularly well up to fourth order in the system-bath coupling constant, in comparison to the Nakajima-Zwanzig master equation. Markovian approaches fare poorly due to the infinite bath correlation time in this model. A recently proposed post-Markovian master equation performs comparably to the time-convolutionless master equation for a properly chosen memory kernel, and outperforms all the approximation methods considered here at long times. Our findings shed light on the applicability of master equations to the description of reduced system dynamics in the presence of spin-baths.Comment: 17 pages, 16 figure

    The problem of digital recognition of personal behavior in the context of modern challenges: Socio-philosophical and theological analysis

    Introduction. The article examines the problem of digital personality recognition as one of the dimensions of artificial intelligence from the perspective of socio-philosophical and theological analysis. Theoretical analysis. One of the distinctive features of the scientific and technological development of modern society is that various artificial intelligence (AI) systems have moved from the category of science fiction, utopian projects, innovative developments, prototypes and market innovations to the category of familiar and little-noticed elements of everyday life. This technology, also known as the Internet of Behavior, involves identifying and assessing an individual’s behavior both from the point of view of compliance with requirements and from the point of view of identifying patterns of individual behavior that can become the basis for his identification. The prerequisites and conditions for the emergence of the phenomenon of “golemization” of the individual are analyzed, i.e. its reduction to a set of external physical actions and manifestations without taking into account internal motives as one of the risks that require social philosophical and theological reflection. Conclusion. Within the framework of socio-philosophical and theological discourse, digital recognition of personal behavior can have a positive meaning, because increases attention to responsibility for one’s actions and potentially leads to a decrease in crime rates, as well as a negative value due to the possibility of creating virtual identities that differ from a person’s true identity

    Ultrastrong photon-to-magnon coupling in multilayered heterostructures involving superconducting coherence via ferromagnetic layers

    The critical step for future quantum industry demands realization of efficient information exchange between different-platform hybrid systems that can harvest advantages of distinct platforms. The major restraining factor for the progress in certain hybrids is weak coupling strength between the elemental particles. In particular, this restriction impedes a promising field of hybrid magnonics. In this work, we propose an approach for realization of on-chip hybrid magnonic systems with unprecedentedly strong coupling parameters. The approach is based on multilayered microstructures containing superconducting, insulating, and ferromagnetic layers with modified photon phase velocities and magnon eigenfrequencies. The enhanced coupling strength is provided by the radically reduced photon mode volume. Study of the microscopic mechanism of the photon-to-magnon coupling evidences formation of the long-range superconducting coherence via thick strong ferromagnetic layers in superconductor/ferromagnet/superconductor trilayer in the presence of magnetization precession. This discovery offers new opportunities in microwave superconducting spintronics for quantum technologies

    Мультидисциплинарный подход к лечению редкого хирургического заболевания — трихобезоара — у ребенка 11 лет: клиническое наблюдение

    Bezoars are rarely occurring foreign bodies of the gastrointestinal tract, only 0.5–1% of cases cause the mechanical intestinal obstructions. It is very difficult to diagnose bezoar on early stages. The presented clinical case demonstrates the opportunities of multidisciplinary approach in diagnosis and rehabilitation of children with trichobezoar. Two weeks before hospitalization, the girl began to make complaints about periodic abdominal pain, nausea, episodes of vomiting occurred immediately after ingestion. The child underwent complex examination (including esophagogastroduodenoscopy) which revealed a giant trichobezoar occupying the entire lumen of the stomach. Gastrotomy, removal from the stomach in the form of his «impression» trichobezoar (12×15 cm) was performed. During the in-patient monitoring at hospital, both medical assistance and psychological and pedagogical support was provided to the child and to his parents as well; consultations on emotional state of the child and optimizing the process of education in the family were delivered. The joint work of pediatricians, surgeons, and specialists in the psychological and pedagogical service makes it possible to determine the necessary volume of medical assistance, as well as the psychological reason for the occurrence of neurotic reactions to prevent the «hair tumor» formation in future.Безоары — редко встречающиеся инородные тела желудочно-кишечного тракта, лишь в 0,5–1% случаев являются причиной всех механических кишечных непроходимостей. Диагностировать безоар на ранних стадиях весьма затруднительно. В нашем клиническом наблюдении продемонстрированы возможности мультидисциплинарного подхода к диагностике и реабилитации детей, страдающих трихобезоаром. За 2 нед до госпитализации девочка стала предъявлять жалобы на периодические боли в животе, тошноту, эпизоды рвоты сразу после приема пищи. Ребенку было проведено комплексное обследование (в том числе эзофагогастродуоденоскопия), по результатам которого выявлен трихобезоар гигантских размеров, занимающий весь просвет желудка. Выполнена гастротомия с удалением из желудка в виде его «слепка» трихобезоара размером 12×15 см. За время пребывания пациентки в стационаре наряду с хирургической помощью были проведены психологическое обследование и консультирование родителей относительно эмоционального состояния ребенка, причин произошедшего и оптимизации процесса воспитания в семье. В результате совместной работы хирургов, педиатров и специалистов психолого-педагогического профиля удалось определить необходимый объем медико-психолого-педагогической помощи ребенку для предотвращения повторного образования «волосяной опухоли» в будущем

    Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wurden metallreiche Seltenerdmetallhalogenide unterschiedlicher Valenzelektronenkonzentration dargestellt und ihre physikalischen Eigenschaften untersucht. Dafür wurde sowohl der Weg des Einbaus von Interstitialwasserstoffatomen in die Kristallstruktur als auch die Möglichkeit der Kationen- bzw. Anionensubstitution beschritten. Es wurden Hydridiodide und ternaere Iodidtelluride von Y, La und Gd synthetisiert und charakterisiert. Magnetische und elektrische Messungen weisen auf eine erhebliche Änderung der physikalischen Eigenschaften in Abhängigkeit vom Wasserstoffgehalt hin. Es wurden verschiedene auffallende Effekte, wie z.B. Kolossal-Magnetwiderstand sowie auch Spinclusterglas-Verhalten, beobachtet.The goal of this work was the preparation of metal-rich rare earth halides with a variable valence electron concentration and the study of their physical properties. For the variation of electron count, experiments on substitution of as well as hydrogen insertion into the structure have been carried out. A series of hydride iodides and ternary iodide tellurides of Y, La and Gd has been synthesized and characterized. Magnetic and electrical measurements revealed a substantial change of the physical properties as a function of the hydrogen content. The studied compounds have been found to exhibit many interesting and remarkable effects such as colossal magnetoresistance and spin-glass behavior

    The paper describes the development of a parametric 3D CAD assembly of a small-size GTD combustion chamber. Based on the chamber model, we derive the internal CAD volume of the designed single-burner sector. The created parametric models are auto-adjustable by an external excel spreadsheet controlling their parameters. The 3D combusion chamber assembly and the single-burner sector can further be used for optimizing the geometry of flame tubes and nozzles, arranging the sustainable fuel burning space, for the spatial distribution of air flows, and for other design tasks
